Club meets 8:15pm every Friday. Most Fridays are singers‘ nights, with occasional Guest-Artistes.
Genre: Traditional Folk Music
Please note that although this listing appears under the “Open Mic” section, we have been asked by the club secretary to remove the words “open mic” from the heading as they “are concerned that ‘open mic’ could be an open invitation to all comers when we really want to encourage folk music.”
Current Club Venue: TYNEWYDD COMMUNITY CENTRE
Tynewydd Road, RHYL
LL18 3RD
We meet every Sunday, doors open at 8.00pm for an 8.30pm start. Get along promptly if you want to grab one of the available floor spots. The Spire Coffee Bar is easy to find at Breck Road, Wallasey, CH44 3BD
New faces welcome on singer’s nights, which are most weeks apart from our occasional guest nights (see program).
We are going to experiment with “spotlights”, where a performer is offered a 20 minute slot on a singers’ night to do an extended set. That spot will be advertised in the weekly email.
So if you fancy putting your name in the hat for that, get in touch with us by email or on Facebook. We have some names on the list so watch this space.
