Folk on the Farm Festival on Anglesey

This Hairy Photographer was gutted at not being able to get to the Folk on the Farm festival at Tyddyn Môn Farm on the Isle of Anglesey last night due to overrunning work commitments – especially as my current favourite folk band Merry Hell were headlining the Opening Night Stage.
The Ragtag Band kick everything off at 7.30pm followed by Blue Zed and Pete Abbott before the lads and lass from Wigan raised Merry Hell until midnight.

Little birds, however, have been telling me what a fab gig it was and how everybody had a great time.
It’s not over yet, of course, with all of Saturday and Sunday to go. Let’s just hope the high winds hold off until the last note has been played and the last tent unpitched.
This is the first festival of its kind to have been held on this site and I’m sure it won’t be the last.
Here is the line-up for the rest of the weekend:
SATURDAY AFTERNOON 14/09/2013
Will Lowry-Scott gets the day going with a 30 minute set at 1.00pm followed by Rose Red, Watson & Co, and the Steve Blackstone Band.
SATURDAY EVENING
The Ragtag Band is first on stage for the evening session, followed by Bones and Mel, Wendy Arrowsmith, with Galley Beggar drawing the evening to a close.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON
Joe Grocock open at 1pm followed by Rita Payne, Bones and Mel, Watson and Co, and the Mountain Oyster Band with Cowbois Celtaid drawing the festival to a 7.pm close.
