So I am in the bath when I feel this horrible crusty lump under my foot…
I twist my foot around to examine the underside (as far as my torn knee cartilage will allow) and sure enough, there is a crusty-looking raised mole-like growth, slap-bang in the centre of my left sole.
Ominously, it was dark brown and about a centimetre and a half in diameter.
You hear about such things don’t you? I mean… it had appeared so suddenly! And I am thinking “This is it. I’m a goner”.
My mind is racing as I step out of the bath and reach for a towel. I was thinking how it was strange that I hadn’t felt anything during the day, especially as I’d spent much of Sunday padding about the house bare foot.
Then I look back into the bath just in time to watch an Elastoplast float down the plughole.
It was dark brown and about a centimetre and a half in diameter!
